Dear Artists and Supporters,

Central Park is pleased to announce its third annual benefit and silent auction will be held at the gallery, December 14 from 6-10pm.

Proceeds from this year's auction will fund a cash award for an artist to create a new original work to be exhibited in the gallery in 2020.

A full list of details, deadlines and forms can be found below.

Thank you!

All accepted artwork submissions will be featured on the gallery’s online auction site. 20 submissions will be selected for the live event in the gallery on December 14. Submissions will be accepted on a rolling basis until December 09, 2018.Only submissions received by December 02 will be considered for exhibition at the live event.

Submissions should be sent to hellocentralpark@gmail.com and should include:
a thumbnail image on a white background no larger than 2MB and a completed work release form, below. Information from the release can also be copied into the body of an email.

Proceeds from 2018’s silent auction will fund a cash artist award. The recipient of the Central Park Artist Award will be selected based on the merit of a project proposal detailing how the award will be used to create a new original artwork. To be considered for the award, artists must submit a proposal of 350 words or less to the gallery by Jan 01. Only artists who have contributed work to the silent auction may apply for the award. So bring your best stuff! What you contribute to the silent auction directly impacts the value of the award. A panel of artists and arts professionals will review the proposals and determine the award recipient. The selection panel will be announced in early January. The award recipient will be announced on St. Valentine’s Day 2019 and will have the opportunity to show the work produced with the award funds at Central Park in 2020.

Artists interested in submitting proposals can find the prompt below.
Proposals can also be copied into the body of an email.

Artwork submissions will be capped at a $100 reserve price. The reserve price is the lowest opening bid for an artwork. Please submit artwork with this in mind, but remember, the higher the value of the work submitted, the larger the potential sum of the artist award.
Work with reserve prices less than $100, or no reserve price, will be gladly accepted.

Bidding will open to the public as submissions roll in.  All bids must be in $20 increments. At 6pm on December 14th, online bidding for the 20 pieces chosen for exhibition in the gallery will close, after which they can only be bid on LIVE at the event. The online auction site will be accessible at the event for attendees who wish to bid on those works. Live and online bidding will close at 10pm December 14.

Please email the gallery at hellocentralpark@gmail.com with questions about your submission or the bidding process.
